Nora Tellicat got a Shout-Out

Good Evening Everyone!

This is a little late BUT - Nora Tellicat got a shout-out on one of my favorite blogs, Penny for your thoughts.

I have NO IDEA how I stumbled across Penny's blog, I just know the night I did, she happened to step away from her usual, political posts as her cat had just passed away.  No one understands that more than I.  The first being I ever loved, my cat Butterscotch Luke, had his throat slit when I was away at boarding school when I was 14 years old. I never cried or mourned like I did when I found out, not for any human or animal again.  I do believe he came back to me, which let me have a proper "good bye," but I'll save that story for another time.***  Suffice to say, reading about someone pouring out their feelings for their beloved cat, I was sucked in.  Then to see she had a quote from Steve Biko on the side of her blog!  Toppled with her mention of loving Bob Marley, and the handle Penny, which was my adopted mother's nickname, I fell hard.  So to get a shout-out from Penny, girl, you made my life, thank you!

Godbless you all.

It's "another time"
*** Butterscotch got caught in a raccoon cage when I was a child and as such, he had a scar across his nose.  Well, in 2001, in Fla, shortly before I moved to PA, the kids and I picked up a kitten, who was the spitting image of Butterscotch.  The kids named him Einstein Wolfman.  Anyway, he had the very same scar across his nose (unbelievable though true).  He only lived briefly, but the morning he passed on, not five mins before my son came in to tell me he died suddenly, I awoke to see him sitting on my pillow with the sun shining behind him.  Less than five mins, as I said, he passed.  No one is sure how or why.  But it was his death that made me realize, that cat was loved, every second of his existence, and because of that, I felt good.  Sure it was sad, but he didn't die afraid or alone.  He went as we all should, feeling happy and feeling that we were loved, every second that we were here.  What more can anyone, human or animal ask out of life?

Peace and Love to and for us all.
